I have never seen so much political drama in my life since I developed a burning hatred for Hillary, and turned my support to Obama.

Honestly. I used to be a huge Hillary supporter. HUGE. I voted for her in NY and I was hoping she would run for President. Right before the official announcement, I started to get iffy about her, but I was still pleased when the official announcement was made. Every day since then, I have hated her, more and more as time went on.

Yesterday, a friend told me that I was betraying women and that I could no longer call myself a feminist because I chose to put my support behind a man. I let her know that the only anti-feminist within our discussion was her, and her attempt to oppress my views and force me to put my political support by someone I do not believe in just because she has a vagina.

Today another friend told me that if Obama doesn’t get the nomination, and I don’t vote for Hillary, that I am a hypocrite and shouldn’t vote at all.

I am NOT a democrat. When I first registered to vote, yes.. I did register as a democrat. I was 18. 10 years ago. I have since realized that I do not want to vote for a party. I want to vote for the best candidate who I believe will do the best job for this country as a whole, not just for me. While my choices do tend to run to the democrats, this isn’t always the case. Every candidate has views that I disagree strongly with. The only person who could ever match me 100%, would be if I ran for President myself.

California allows people to register as undeclared, so that’s what I am. I am not allowed to vote in primaries, which is silly, I think. There are states that allow everyone to vote in all the primaries, which I think would fit me well - I would vote for the best person in each party, IMO, for the job.

Anyway, if for some horrible, terrible reason, Hillary gets the nom, I will not be voting for her. Take away  my feminist card, call me stupid, lob personal attacks on me, I don’t care. I would rather see John McCain as our president than Hillary Clinton. I don’t know who I will vote for - yet. I will need to look deeper, but I will most likely vote Green - I do know that I will not participate in electing her, period.
