If you missed Enid’s opening at LINK Contemporary, her show runs until October 25th. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.
I missed the opening, but I was on hand for the soft opening during Wine Walk and it was wonderful. I absolutely loved these paintings when I saw them on her website, but I was horribly unprepared for how powerful they are in person. I love art, obviously but very few pieces ever deeply, deeply move me, and I have to say that Enid’s paintings are among those few. The painting linked here is one of my favorites, but honestly, they are all very emotional and moving.
The photographs are wonderful, but you really do need to see them in person.
Working in the art world has exposed me to so many new things, and given me the opportunity to meet some wonderful artists and I feel lucky to have these opportunities. Meeting Enid was pretty amazing and she really is a great person, two minutes of talking to her and you really sense how genuine a soul she is, which just makes her paintings even more personal and emotional.
To me, they speak of light and hope in an increasingly dark world. Maybe they will tell you a different story.
