Aaaand… I am back!
I am up and running on my lovely new Macbook, school started this week and my awesome part-time job has turned full time and is only getting better.
Life is extremely busy, and exhausting, but finally in a GOOD way. I am going to cut this short, but after this weekend, I will be all caught up and back to regular bloggin’!
So, since I already failed April’s NaBlo, I decided it would be ok to slag off on blogging for a few days. I have been busy busy busy with the new job (love it), making decisions in regards to school, and with the “Family” website, which has a new layout and photo album. (If you’re family and close friends you should know where to find that, if not, email me).
I have been keeping up with my blogroll, but haven’t been commenting much. I’ll catch up with everyone Monday ![]()
I have officially failed April’s NaBlo theme.
Whoops.
It was worth it, though.
Yesterday was my (future) sister-in-law’s Bridal Shower / Bachelorette party, and it was quite fun. I didn’t have a traditional Shower OR Bachelorette because my family is all 3000 miles away and my close friends were scattered over the US at the time and it was impossible. (I did have the best weekend on a mountainside with my maid of honor though, which I wouldn’t trade for the world) So this was kinda fun for me.
Anyway, right after the shower we went to The Hollywood Men show at a club in Hollywood & Highland. Ok, so I have been to many a strip club, both male and female dancers. While there are some attractive strippers, there is also usually either a level of skank or that “Been there, done it all” look in their eyes that kind of dulls the experience. Needless to say, I am not generally a fan of the strip club. To go even further, I also usually prefer to go watch women strip. Male strip shows are usually cheesy as hell and make me laugh at the corny routine which takes away from … well.. the entire point of going to a strip club.
The Hollywood Men show was actually a pleasant surprise, and not just because a hot soap star is one of the featured dancers. (Though watching someone dance in a thong who I used to drool over on All My Children wasn’t a bad thing). They were actually GOOD dancers. Sure, the routines were still a bit cheesy, you can’t really avoid cheese when you have large, well-muscled men prancing around stage thrusting their naked little hips to hip hop music, but the cheese was tempered with enough HAWT (Marcus Patrick dressed as a cop and bending one of the audience’s birthday girls over a chair and dry humping her was surprisingly… HAWT) to make it a fun evening.
That and dragging every stripper and waiter who walked by over to the table to give my SIL a lapdance and take 500 incriminating photos ;).
I cannot believe I am saying this, but: I highly recommend The Hollywood Men if you are visiting L.A
Especially if you are visiting me, and uh… force me to accompany you.
